One-on-One: Wilderness and

Sasquatch Tracking

Some veterans like you approached us and asked for going hiking and fly fishing one-on-one without any groups. Hey, that’s not a problem! That’s why we are here for you. We know that helping vets one-one-one may have a deeper connection and more lasting effect.

Why to wait? Just give us a call or email. We will set up a date and discuss all the details.

Let the adventure begin!

·

We explore outdoors and remote locations

So many areas on the Upper North Umpqua in the vast North Umpqua Forest are rarely stepped upon by humans. No end destinations, only enjoying the journey…

We hike

Physical inactivity in the U.S. is alarming. Approximately 36 % of adults in the U.S. do not engage in any leisure-time physical activity. We see it every day how veterans are getting out of shape, and out of breath after only 30 minutes of hiking!?! Hiking boosts fitness, stimulates some muscles, and helps to build bone density.

We fly fish

Learning this therapeutic sport and wading in the water. Maybe catching a fish, too…

We forest bathe

Walking through a forest for at least two hours a day will lower your concentrations of cortisol, blood pressure and pulse rates. No pills needed…

We immerse ourselves in the wilderness and one-on-one with nature

Nature connects, natures soothes, nature heals—so many benefits of being outdoors. Spending time in nature also increases our ability to focus, our attention spans, and our problem-solving skills by up to 50 per cent!

We stay under the stars or in a tent depending on the weather

AND… there is MORE

Through exploring and encountering some suspicious experiences in the wilderness, and due to an interest from some vets, we are also starting Sasquatch Tracking trips. Sounds mysterious? Let us explain.

Often it is not what we are seeking that we find. Like fly fishing, if we wish to understand our quarry (Bigfoot), we must understand the environment in which it lives. As citizen scientists, we explore and gather information on this local legend. Most importantly we bond as brothers/sisters with a common goal.
